Play With JW Johnson & Jorja Johnson
Exclusive Court Time With Pickleball's Top Stars
| | | The Steamboat Tennis & Pickleball Complex is excited to welcome professional pickleball stars JW Johnson and Jorja Johnson to Steamboat Springs for a special benefit weekend over the Fourth of July holiday. | | |
Widely recognized as one of pickleball’s most successful sibling duos, JW and Jorja compete at the highest level of the sport and are currently ranked among the top professional mixed doubles players on the PPA Tour.
The event, titled “Meet the Stars – A Pickleball Center Benefit Weekend,” will give community members the opportunity to bid on exclusive experiences with the pros while supporting the nonprofit Pickleball Center.
The weekend begins on Friday, July 3, with three auction-winning groups taking the court alongside JW and Jorja during 20-minute play sessions. Following the play-with-a-pro experiences, the Johnsons will face off against the Steamboat Tennis & Pickleball Complex’s head professionals in a special exhibition match from 5–6 p.m. Spectators are invited to attend free of charge and can pledge donations for every point scored by the Steamboat team against the touring professionals.
The weekend concludes on Sunday, July 5, with a Grand Prize auction package featuring a private one-hour play session with JW and Jorja followed by an exclusive happy hour meet-and-greet.
Proceeds from the event will support the nonprofit Pickleball Center’s facility and programming. Opened in 2024, the center continues fundraising efforts to help service the more than $5 million investment that made the facility possible.

Pickleball Meets Gaming in Steamboat Springs
Local Courts Make Their Digital Debut

Steamboat Springs is stepping into the digital pickleball world with the launch of Pickleball Aces, a new mobile game developed by local studio Go Time Games. The game brings the excitement of pickleball to players’ phones, featuring realistic gameplay and several iconic real-world venues—including the Steamboat Tennis & Pickleball Complex.
Currently in invite-only beta testing, Pickleball Aces offers early access to a limited number of players who are interested in helping shape the game through feedback. The full public release is expected later this summer.
