The Washington County Fair is underway through Sunday, July 30, at Westside Commons in Hillsboro. Admission to the Fair is FREE! New this year is the addition of “Bag-less Express Lanes” at the entrance gates. For those not bringing in bags, you can get in faster by using this lane and skipping the bag check line. Go Bag-less to the Fair!
This coming weekend is your final chance to ride the rides, eat the Fair Food, and see the exhibits, so don’t miss out! The Washington County Livestock Association Youth Livestock Auction happens Saturday evening at 6 p.m. and it’s your chance to support the local youth who have worked hard for the last year to produce high-quality butcher animals for sale. These animals have been well-fed, and well cared-for, and teach the youth responsibility, the basics of animal health, and the spirit of teamwork among their peers. Again you can participate in that Saturday night, July 29 at 6 p.m. at the Auction Ring. Saturday also is the date of the Washington County Livestock Association’s Blue Ribbon Steak Dinner, formerly known as the Steak Fry, and it happens just ahead of the Youth Livestock Auction, starting at 4 p.m. You can buy tickets online from the Livestock Association.
