Dear Friend of Harvest,
It’s been said, “time flies,” and so it does! Labor Day is right around the corner. We have enjoyed the fun in the sun, but now it’s back-to-school time. Our routines will get back in sync. We still have a few opportunities remaining for summer outreaches:

th
Worship Night at the Dayton Fair: Monday, Aug. 12
th
Chicken Shack Outreach at the Dayton Fair: Monday, Aug. 12
th to Saturday Aug. 17
th

th
We all have a part in sharing the Gospel and inviting others to learn more about our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Invite your family and friends to join your church family and hear more.
Riverfront Park service is one service starting at 10:00 a.m. for the entire church (all campuses). We gather once a year in such a fashion. See old friends and make new ones. It’s a blast! Bring a covered side dish and/or dessert for the picnic. Hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork and drinks are provided. Chairs, cushions, blankets, rain gear and sun block are optional. Arrive early for the best parking options. Lots of help is needed to set up and clean up.
It’s not too late to be part of our
baptism at the park. Mark your Connect Card, call the church office at 724.548.5643 or speak to your campus pastor if you have not taken this step of faith in Christ. One of our pastors will be sure to contact you.
When was it you first learned about Christ? As an adult? In college? High school youth group? Maybe! But for many of us it was as a child. Harvest Kidz has an awesome program with good leaders who meet with our children each week and help them learn about God’s plan for us. We have lots of children who come to church every week -- over 200!!! But we need help sharing the Bible with them. We can equip you to
join the Harvest Kidz team and invest in the next generation!
Just let us know on your Connect Card if you’re willing to help, and we will train you with everything you need from there.
We have revamped our membership on-ramp for Harvest. Whether you are a new attendee or a seasoned member, you will get something from our new approach. Each campus will host a brief
“Why Harvest?” meeting starting in September. Following that session, you will be able to attend three separate sessions that focus on faith in Christ, baptism, church membership and living as a Christian in today’s society. The sessions will walk you through a simple-to-understand discussion on each topic. The sessions are built around our “Love One Another, Walk with God, and Seek the Lost” theme.
Community Groups will be starting back with our Fall 2019 kick-off weekend as we transition into our
new sermon series on Mark.
In His service,
Big Fred
