Wheatland, Missouri (October 18, 2016) - The Lucas Oil Speedway motorsports season is just days from an exciting conclusion. The final chapter will offer a memorable combination of big, powerful machines and an early Halloween "Spooktacular" for the entire family.
The Monster Truck Nationals "Eve of Destruction" descends upon Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday and the weather forecast - a day-time high of 70 and abundant sunshine - couldn't be more perfect for an autumn celebration.

"What a way to finish off a tremendous 2016 season," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said. "The Monster Truck Nationals annually is one of our most-popular events with its array of pure, ground-shaking power from the most famous Monster Trucks in the world. We're combining it into a Halloween celebration this year which should be a hit with fans of all ages."
More than 60,000 pounds of Monster Truck Thunder will be on display at the big one-day show. Included with be six of the most-famous Monster Trucks in the world - Bigfoot, Raminator, Heavy Hitter, Barbarian, Snakebite and Dawg Pound.
Joining those 10-foot-tall and 10,000-pound trucks will be the car-eating, flame-throwing mechanical monster from the Jurassic age - Megasaurus - and the high-horsepower stunts of Wheelie Wizard.
A free Pit Party with trick-or-treating is included in the admission ticket with that starting at 5 p.m. Kids of all ages are invited to come in Halloween costume to the Pit Party, meet the drivers, get autographs and up-close photos of the Monster Trucks.
Fans also can take a Real Monster Truck Ride at the Pit Party, during intermission and immediately following the Monster Truck program, which fires up at 7 p.m.
"We anticipate a large crowd, so not only do advance tickets assure you of a seat it also is a great way to save money," Robinson said. "We're eager to see all our great race fans one more time in 2016."
