New Name & Expanded Mission

January 2026

Dear Community Members and Partners,

We are thrilled to share an important update about our organization. Dads MOVE is now Tahoma Northwest

This change reflects our growth and commitment to serving individuals and families across Washington State with inclusive, peer-led, trauma informed behavioral health services.

While our name is new, our dedication to compassionate care and community support remains the same.

Why the change?

  • We’ve expanded beyond our original focus to provide a broader range of services.

  • Our new name better represents our mission and evolving partnerships with Managed Care Organizations.

  • We are committed to creating a welcoming environment for all adult individuals and families.

What does this mean for you?

  • Our services and team remain unchanged at the moment- we are expanding throughout 2026 to bring more services along with our name change and branding.

  • You’ll see updates to our website, social media, and materials over the next few weeks.

  • Please update your records to reflect our new name: Tahoma Northwest

  • Our new email for communication will be @tahomanw.org. Please update your email contacts to reach us.

We value your partnership and look forward to continuing to work together to improve behavioral health outcomes in our communities.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us at sjensen@TahomaNW.org or visit our updated website at www.TahomaNW.org.

Thank you for your continued support!

Warm regards,

Host: Kahlil DeRouen

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of a new podcast—a space dedicated to real conversations about recovery, Peer Support, and the power of lived experience.

Each episode will dive into meaningful topics like resilience, hope, and navigating life’s challenges. We’ll share our own stories—the highs, the lows, and everything in between—share resources including the tried-and-true helpful resources that make an impact- and invite guests and listeners to do the same.

This isn’t just a podcast; it’s a community. A place where your voice matters, your experiences inspire, and together we learn and grow.

Join us for honest dialogue, practical insights, and stories that remind us we’re never alone on this journey.

📢 Coming soon! Stay tuned for our first episode and find out how you can be part of the conversation.

We're also thrilled to announce the launch of The Peer Review Podcast --Peer work is more than mentorship—it’s a movement. The Peer Review dives deep into the culture, values, and lived experiences that connect us as a community.

Because peer support isn’t something you learn only in a classroom, we explore what truly makes a peer—long before certification. Each episode features real conversations about the journeys that brought us here, plus interviews with voices from both professional spaces and those with personal lived experience.

Our mission? To bridge communities, create safe spaces for honest dialogue, and talk openly about mental health and wellness in the world around us.

At its heart, The Peer Review is about connection, growth, and making a positive impact—together.

📢 Peers, Tune in and join the conversation. Your voice matters.
