BIG NEWS!
We're Moving!

We were waiting until we had something concrete to tell you...and here it is! They poured the concrete flooring in our new store. We're moving to The Mark in the next few months. We are so excited to be starting from the ground up! Our new address will be 117 S. Pineapple, right around the corner from where we are now. We'll be posting pictures as the work progresses, and we'll share our move-in day as soon as we have the date. Thank you for your support as we continue to improve.

A Reader Meet Writer Zoom Author Chat

For the past four years, Margaret Renkl’s columns have offered readers of The New York Times a weekly dose of natural beauty, human decency, and persistent hope from her home in Nashville. Now more than sixty of those pieces have been brought together in this sparkling new collection.

There is no charge for the event, but there is the option to
pay a $7 fee to help defray the cost.
This program is part of the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA) Reader Meet Writer Author Series.
This Week's Best Sellers
There are two first-timers on our best seller list this week. The Paper Palace is a story of summer, secrets, love, and lies; while Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is hilarious, delicious, and brutal. Please keep reading!
August Staff Picks!
Georgia loved a book about nature, Doug raved about a book on trees, Melanie was intrigued by historical fiction, while Nora suggested a book that is not for everyone. See what else the Bookstore1 staff have been reading this month.
Reading with Roxanne
Roxanne and Andrea imbibe a six pack of new & about to be released books. Listen in & get 'lit,' as in literature! It's our latest podcast.
PoetryLife
We have construction sites on our mind. In 2009 members of the construction team which built Poets House's new home in New York joined actor Bill Murray for the first poetry reading. What fun!

For this week's poetry collection, we recommend Ted Kooser's The Poetry Home Repair Manual...a book we hope to not need any time soon. Purchase here.
Exciting New Arrivals
When Chief Inspector Armand Gamache is asked to provide crowd control at a statistics lecture given at the Université de l'Estrie in Quebec, he is dubious. Why ask the head of homicide to provide security for what sounds like a minor, even mundane lecture?
The author of the bestseller This Tender Land returns with a prequel to his Cork O'Connor series--a book about fathers and sons, long-simmering conflicts in a small Minnesota town, and the events that echo through youth and shape our lives forever.
Don't forget, we are here for you to stop in and browse, or to pick up at our side-door, or to order online for home delivery.
Please stay safe and keep reading!
