Glancy Wine Education Foundation (GWEF) is very honored to have received $100,000 to support the GWEF scholarship program. Wine Spectator Scholarship Foundation chose to donate to us to empower underserved and minority applicants to pursue or complete their wine and hospitality education, including Marcus Delira featured in the April issue of Wine Spectator Magazine. Marcus has been in the industry for about a year and absolutely loves learning and educating others about wine. Eventually, Marcus would like to become a wine distributor and/or wine ambassador.

A Message from the Glancy Wine Education Foundation President

The applications for scholarships keep pouring in and we are always excited to read our applicants stories. Our Volunteer Board Members enjoy the process of discovering the diverse backgrounds, experiences and educational goals, making it easy work to review their applications. GWEF has given 50 scholarships totaling $111,931 since December 2020. As restaurants and wineries begin to welcome more guests our students are going back to work, but with better credentials that will increase their level of customer service and their salaries. We are looking for Sponsors/Donors to support the unprecedented demand for scholarships. Please continue to support Glancy Wine Education Foundation as we uphold the hospitality industry and increase diversity.
