Netchex has been able to add the following features and functionality to the Payroll, Time & Attendance, and Human Resource segments of the application:
Manager Self Service
- Client has the ability to give Manager Self Service Access - Manager Self Service is a new feature which allows clients to setup and control User Logins for Managers within their company. The level of access given to each Manager can be unique per manager based on the areas within Netchex that you allow them to get too. This new feature will allow a manager to view and/or modify employee data within specific company codes. Clients can control the Managers System access by drilling down to a specific department level or specific employee within a company code.
- One User Login for Employee or Manager View - the new functionality for Manager Self Service allows for clients to give an employee their Employee Self Service User Login and Password and then have them toggle within that login to the Manager Self Service view. This allows employees to have only one User Name and Password.
- Assignment of specific functions within Manager Access - Clients can allow a manager to do any of the following:
 Access to Employee List
Ability to View and/or Modify Data on employees they can access
Allow the Manager to ADD a new hire
 Access to NetAssist HR
 Editing Timecards
 Running Time and Attendance Reports
Access Employees across multiple Company Codes
Cross Company Time and Attendance Reports
- Manager Self-Service Default Configuration - added the ability for clients to setup acompany default configuration when designating managers for the company.
- Time and Attendance Reports for Manager Self Service - Manager Self Service Users can be given the ability to run Time and Attendance Reports for all employees they can access. This report will pull data across company codes if they have access to employees in multiple company codes as well.
- Overtime/Doubletime Option for Manager Self Service Summary Report - on the Time and Attendance Summary Report a filter option has been added to allow managers to filter out non-Overtime and Doubletime earnings codes.
- Approaching Overtime Report - a new report has been created called Approaching Overtime for Manager Self Service users.
*** Please contact your Client Service Rep if you would like to have Manager Self Service activated, or have any questions at all. ***
Employee File Updates
Employee Menu -> Payroll -> Deductions
- Adding/Editing Deductions Linked to a Benefit Plan - If a deduction code is linked to a Benefits Plan setup in NetBenefits it will not be a drop down choice to add like other standard deductions. The deduction linked to the Benefit Plan can be Added/Modified by going to Employee Menu -> Human Resources -> Benefits. You will continue to see the deduction on the Deduction page and the only editable field will be the assignment of a Payee.
Employee Menu -> Payroll -> Wage and Tax
- Statutory Indicator - ability to classify employee as a Statutory Employee which will in turn check Box 13 of the W2.
- Retirement Plan Indicator - ability to check the Retirement Plan box at the employee level so Box 13 on the W2 is populated even if the employee doesn't contribute to a Retirement Plan during the Calendar Year. If an employee contributes to a Retirement Plan the box is automatically checked on the W2.
- Print 1099-Misc Indicator - ability to designate if an employee should have a 1099-Misc Form generated at Year End by Netchex. If the check box on the Wage and Tax screen for the employee is not checked then a 1099-Misc Form will NOT generate at year end.
- Non-Resident Alien Indicator - employees with this indicator checked will have their Federal Income Tax Withholding calculated in a slightly different manner as per IRS guidelines.
Employee Menu -> Payroll -> Demographics or Employee Menu -> Human Resources -> Employee Events -> Termination
- Eligible for Re-Hire Indicator - this indicator is visible when an employee's status is Terminated or being changed to Terminated. If this check box is NOT checked then the employee will not be able to be re-hired until the setting is changed.
Time and Attendance Updates
- Added Future Approved hours and Adjusted Available hours to the timecard accrual section.
- Modified the timecard so future days can be employee and supervisor approved based on the payroll group settings. (Contact your Client Service Rep if you would like to utilize this feature.)
