Grand Opening Celebrated Glen Run Nature Preserve

This Preserve has nearly 5 miles of trails that can be enjoyed by hiking, walking, running, and mountain biking. There is some climbing but overall the trails are great for beginners, intermediate, and expert runners and bike riders. The experts will find the hills challenging and stimulating. The trails start from the main trail head off of Route 191. The preserve has plenty of native plants and wildlife for all to view and appreciate. Future plans include installing bird observation stations and nature-play areas for children.
Protecting land protects clean water.

Everywhere you turn in Monroe County, you cross another stream. No wonder: We are fortunate to have 1,690 miles of streams in the county. Water quality is maintained through state regulation, local land use choices, and by landowners who care for their land and streams. Pocono Heritage Land Trust was pleased to participate with many partner organizations to produce this "Plan for Clean Water", please visit: PlanForCleanWater.org
