Big Ole' Buts!
Move'em Out The Way!
In discussions about imminent opportunities with a couple of people, I asked them to turn around. Just as they turned around I started exclaiming the refrain, "Your buts, your buts, your big ole' big ole' buts." One person immediately began to say how they felt they had been gaining weight and thought their but looked bigger. I responded, This has nothing to do with your weight, this has to do with the excuses you are making not to take advantage of this opportunity." Both of these individuals started coming up with excuses why they couldn't do something.
All too often, when opportunities are presented to us, our buts get in the way. Be rest assured that this has nothing to do with your physical but. However, if it is getting in the way, stop using limiting buts that stop you from eating healthy and exercising. Move your buts out of the way!
Don't let your buts get in the way of your success. If you find yourself coming up with one excuse after another about why you can't do something, your buts are in the way. Move 'em out! How in the world will you become all God created if you are stuck in the "but zone of excuses?"
You know, the only thing that really holds us back are ourselves. We are the primary culprits. Until you are willing to face those things that prevent you from moving ahead, you are never going to be successful. Heck! You'll never even get started, because you are sitting on your buts of fear.
The more you perch yourself on that stool of do nothing, your buts get bigger! Before you know it, your buts have consumed you. Move your but off that stool! You've been perched there long enough. It is not a throne of victory, but a seat of defeat! It robs you of your dreams, your aspirations, your goals, your confidence and your self-esteem.
Those buts in your life are merely barricades of deception and doubt set up to stop you from taking authority over your situation. Isn't it amazing that when you truly begin to analyze your buts they started when you were a kid.
A travesty is when parents provide but training for their children. You may think that's preposterous; oh I beg to differ. Parents who point fingers at everything else and teach their children to do same instill a system of but living. It is never the child's fault. It is the teachers. It is their friends. It is their color. It is their size. All the while they are training them as long as they hide behind their big buts they ad not have to be accountable. Eventually, those same children begin to include their own parents in those buts.
If I didn't come from a single parent home . . . if my father was in my life . . . if my mother and father loved me more . . . if my parents didn't work so much . . . yada, yada, yada. Stop this vicious cycle of big ole' buts!
The only way it can be stopped is that it begins and ends with you. Eliminate the buts in your life and you will no longer be weighted down. Wow! Your buts, your buts, have disappeared! Now go ahead and sashay to victory!
