women build 2018

San Diego Habitat for Humanity Women Build unites women from all walks of life to take action against the housing crisis facing many families in San Diego County. This year, the event has been extended from one week to an entire month: April 30 - May 26th, 2018 . We've set a high fundraising goal for Women Build this year - $175,000. We're making progress, but we still need your help!
There are four projects for a Women Builder to choose from: traditional build days, pampered build days, ReStore DIY projects, and playhouse build days. There are still plenty of days available for signups. Can't make it out to volunteer? You can donate directly! Click the link below to get involved.
playhouse program leaders

San Diego Habitat is looking for leaders for our playhouse program! No experience is necessary. You’ll learn how to supervise teams of 10 to build and paint playhouses that we then give away to families with children. These events take place throughout the county and help raise funds for our building programs. Click the button below to sign up.

If you have any questions or you cannot attend one of the listed dates, please email Chris Orkwis, Volunteer Manager, at chris.orkwis@sandiegohabitat.org.
las patronas
San Diego Habitat has been chosen as a Major Beneficiary of Las Patronas for their Jewel Ball 2018, Viva La Vida. Las Patronas provides financial assistance to local nonprofits and continues to enhance the quality of life in the San Diego community.

The Jewel Ball fundraiser takes place in August, and one of the goals is to meet the needs of San Diego Habitat in the amount of $33,995 to fund the purchase of an 18’ Box Truck for our ReStores. The truck will enable us to serve more people throughout the County by increasing the number of donations we’re able to pick up, while also keeping more material out of local landfills.
