A message from our Chief Scientific Officer

Dear Big Ten investigators,

As we begin a new academic year, as uncertain as this year has been for us all, I want to remind you of what you can count on through the Big Ten CRC: Opportunity.

Whether you are a junior investigator looking for mentorship opportunities, a senior investigator looking for collaborators for your next study, a bench scientist seeking clinical partners for translational research, or a fellow just starting a career in oncology research, the Big Ten CRC invites you to take full advantage of the opportunities available through our Clinical Trial Working Groups.

Whatever this year holds in store, we are committed, as a consortium, to move science rapidly forward, together, to improve the lives of all patients with cancer.

- Ruth O'Regan, MDChief Scientific Officer, Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium

Thought Leader Perspective

"We find ourselves in the middle of a worldwide pandemic that has brought business, travel, social interactions, and research to a virtual halt. This isn't the first time our world has faced such uncertain times, and, unfortunately, it most likely won't be the last. But one of the more amazing things that we've witnessed is the adaptability and change mechanisms that have emerged from all across the globe. Out of turmoil and chaos can oftentimes come clarity, and we find new research questions and new aspirations for the future.
