Wake Health Services Announces $13 Million Community Health Center Project

2015 will be a banner year for Wake Health Services as we embark on the biggest expansion in our 43-year history: a 35,000 square foot Community Health Center in Southeast Raleigh. The new $13 million center will provide expanded health, pharmacy and dental services.

"Wake Health Services is poised to remove longstanding barriers and provide Southeast Raleigh adults and children with increased access to a broad range of healthcare services," said CEO Penella Washington. "This is about more than healthcare; this project will serve as a catalyst to transform a community," she said.

Construction has begun on the new building, located adjacent to the current Rock Quarry Road Family Medicine site at 1001 Rock Quarry Road. It is expected to be completed within one year.  We hope you'll stay tuned to learn more about this dynamic project.

The goal of the program, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is to reduce new HIV infections and increase access to healthcare for people living with HIV. Read more.

One-year-old Kyree is excited about his first trip to the dentist!
Exciting things ahead in 2015!
Our providers and staff at Wake Health Services are looking forward to serving more happy patients like one-year-old Kyree, pictured here with his mother Kawana.
Kyree was able to see both the doctor and dentist during the same visit. "It saves me a lot of time," said his mother Kawana. "I don't have to worry about coming back."  Access and convenience are just two advantages of a Community Health Center. We can't wait to tell you more about the exciting things ahead as we continue to expand access, services and partnerships in 2015.
