More than $20,000 in total prize money will be awarded to winners of the 2018 Minnesota State Fair Amateur Talent Contest!

If you've got talent (or you know someone who does), we want to hear from you! Audition for the MSF Amateur Talent Contest and have a shot at big cash prizes, thanks to JACK’S ® Pizza, sponsor of the 2018 MSF Amateur Talent Contest.

Here's what we're awarding:

  • Open Division Grand Prize: $10,000, an exclusive JACK’S® Pizza Prize Pack and one year’s worth of JACK’S® Pizza
  • Open Division 2nd Place: $2,500 and an exclusive JACK’S® Pizza Prize Pack
  • Open Division 3rd Place: $1,000 and an exclusive JACK’S® Pizza Prize Pack
  • Teen (ages 13-18) and Preteen (ages 12 and under) Divisions 1st Place: $2,500 and an exclusive JACK’S® Pizza Prize Pack
  • Teen and Preteen Divisions 2nd Place: $750 and an exclusive JACK’S® Pizza Prize Pack
  • Teen and Preteen Divisions 3rd Place: $500 and an exclusive JACK’S® Pizza Prize Pack

JACK’S ® Pizza Prize Packs include: rolling cooler, magnet clip, umbrella, pizza cutter, two ponchos, portable Bluetooth speaker, cargo box, two fruit-infuser water bottles and free JACK’S ® pizzas.

Auditions are open to performers of all types – singers, dancers, jugglers, poets, musicians and more. The entry deadline is 4 p.m. July 25. Auditions are July 23-29 at the Leinie Lodge Bandshell, and the public is invited to stop by and cheer on their favorite contestants – it’s free!

Those selected from the auditions will compete in the semifinals Aug. 23-Sept. 1 at the State Fair. First place winners in the semifinals will then advance to the Sept. 2 finals at the Grandstand – a free event open to the public with fair admission.
