Big steps for BCPS
Introducing the BCPS Medical Advisory Team
As many of you know, when the Kentucky Legislature passed Senate Bill 1 in the 2021 Special Session, the decision-making authority for many questions about how school districts navigate the COVID-19 pandemic was given back to local school districts.

BCPS continues partnership with GE Appliances
For the past 12 years, Bullitt County Public Schools has partnered with GE Appliances (GEA) and their Director of Engineering Development, Mr. Mike Ekbundit. Over the course of this partnership, Mr. Ekbundit has worked with the students attending BCPS’ Bullitt Advanced Math and Science (BAMS) Program in order to mentor them through various engineering-focused projects.

BCPS participates in two State-level presentations
During the week of September 20th, 2021, Bullitt County Public Schools had the honor of presenting at not only one state-level conference, but two! BCPS administrators presented some of BCPS' innovative work to members of the Kentucky Innovative Learning Network (KY ILN).
Fall Break October 4-8
With fall break coming up, October 4 - October 8, and immediately followed by Bullitt Day - No School on October 11, we finally see the first quarter of the school year coming to a close. For many students, parents, employees, community members, etc., it’s a sigh of relief to near the fall break week for a well-deserved time to rest and recharge.
Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month
BCPS is excited to observe Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15. This month celebrates the lives, culture, and contributions of over 62.1 million Hispanics and Latinx American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
