Luther College will host a week-long series of events and displays January 17-21 to inspire reflection, conversation, and action in commemoration of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. A few of the events, listed below, will be made available online. Everyone is welcome to join!

LUTHER COLLEGE HISTORY PROFESSOR RECEIVES THE GERALD STRAUSS PRIZE FOR HIS NEW BOOK
Robert J. Christman, professor of history, has received the Gerald Strauss prize for his book, The Dynamics of the Early Reformation in their Reformed Augustinian Context. The book is the product of three extended research stays in Europe supported by grants from the Fulbright Commission, the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation, and Luther College, in particular, The Marilyn Roverud Endowed Fellowship in Lutheran Studies.

SPORTS AND RECREATION CENTER TO UNDERGO
$1.2 MILLION RENOVATION PROJECT AND NAME CHANGE

Luther College is preparing for a major renovation of the Sports and Recreation Center (SRC) in 2022. The estimated cost of the project is $1.2 million and, to date, more than $1 million has been secured through the generosity of donors. Along with the renovation project comes the commemorative naming of spaces to honor Luther coaches who have made a lifetime of impact on their student-athletes, including Bob Naslund '65, Su Oertel '72, Rich Leake, and Kirk Neubauer '76.
