2025 Putnam County Fair Booth! | Feed the Need volunteers had a blast at this year’s fair booth! From tossing bean bags to sharing our mission, it was a joy connecting with the community. Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by, played, volunteered, and learned more about how we’re feeding Putnam County kids. We can’t wait to do it all again next year! |

2025 Putnam County Fair Can Days |
A huge THANK YOU to the Putnam County Fair Board!
Feed the Need is grateful for their support of local food-insecure groups like ours. The 2025 Can Day at the fair had an amazing turnout! On Sunday and Wednesday, Fairgoers donated canned goods in exchange for a reduced gate entry fee, helping to provide food for those in need.

Canned Protein in April and May
We’re continuing our canned protein drive throughout May to support over 800 food-insecure children across Putnam County. Protein is essential for children's growth, brain development, and sustained energy, helping them stay focused and ready to learn on Monday mornings.
Your donations of canned proteins—such as ravioli, tuna, chicken, soups, and vienna sausages—play a vital role in bridging weekend hunger gaps. Thank you for your continued support!

Earlier this month, a group of amazing FTN volunteers packed about 100 family food bags to support local families in need!
Each month, we collect food donations to fill these bags and send them home with students facing food insecurity. Thank you to our dedicated volunteers for your hard work and big hearts in making this possible! Thank you Dawn Akers, Jennie Farnham, Carlene Emery, Ronald Tomas, Terrie Dallas, and Matt Baer!

Empty Bowls Fundraiser a Heartwarming Success!
We’re thrilled to share that the 2025 Empty Bowls Fundraiser was a tremendous success! Hosted by Azalea City Brewing Company and organized in collaboration with Florida School of the Arts, the event brought together community members to support Feed the Need of Putnam County. Attendees selected handcrafted ceramic bowls—lovingly made by FloArts students and instructor Dan Askew—and enjoyed delicious soups provided by local restaurants.
A heartfelt thank you to Azalea City Brewing Company for hosting the event and coordinating soup donations from local restaurants. Special thanks to the participating restaurants: Bacon and Bubbles, One More Lumpia, The Magnolia, The Good Life Wild Sausages, and Musselwhites, who generously contributed delicious soups, and Nikos Pizza for sharing bread to accompany the meals.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Feed the Need of Putnam County, supporting our mission to provide weekend meals to over 800 food-insecure students across 12 schools in the county. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event a success!
