Good Morning, Bradfield!

We are optimistic that the weather will cooperate for our scheduled BMX Bike Rodeo this morning.

Please have your students bring their bikes to school today.  They may enter the field through the large gate on Southern Avenue, find their teacher’s sign, park their bike, and leave their helmet on the handlebars.

Together with HPDPS, Officer Holley, and Dr. Hilton, we will be monitoring the weather and assessing the safety of our event.  If it is deemed safe and the street is sufficiently dry, Bike Rodeo will occur.  If not, students will receive the bike safety lesson in the LGI and enjoy their donut treat, but no outdoor bike activities will take place.

The schedule for the BMX Bike Rodeo is as follows:

  • 3rd Grade Smith, Webster 8:20-9:10AM
  • 3rd Grade Kemendo, Willey 8:40-9:30AM
  • 3rd Grade Utley, Darnell 9:00-9:50AM
  • 4th Grade Barnes, Korn 10:00-10:50AM
  • 4th Grade Cannon, French, vonEnde 10:20 -11:15AM

The field will be locked once Bike Rodeo ends.  It will be unlocked for bike pick-up beginning at 3:00pm.  With the potential for rain today, please be aware that your student’s bike may get wet while parked on the field.  If you do not wish for your student’s bike to get wet, please make plans to pick up their bike at the end of their class’s Bike Rodeo time.  (Please note that Southern Avenue will be closed to vehicles from 8:00 -11:30am.)

Volunteers, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
