Hundreds of Students Rise to the Challenge

As we first introduced in spring of 2021 and continued last fall, as an augmentation to our Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programming, we hosted another Walk/Bike-to-School Challenge this October for students in area PSD schools to see how many days they could walk or ride their bike to school. We were super-excited to grow the school participation this time around by 300%, increasing from three schools to nine, including our first middle school. READ MORE

Colorado Gives Day - Help Keep Us Rolling!

Tuesday, December 6th

Colorado’s annual largest day of giving is Tuesday, December 6th. It’s more than just a day, it’s a movement. And, we hope you'll join it and Give Where You Live -- and help Bike Fort Collins maximize an increased dollar-for-dollar match this year on the first $10,000 we raise. Plus donations of $100 or more come with a 1-year membership to BFC.

Nearly 300 Bikes and Helmets go to 2nd Graders

Earlier this fall, Bike Fort Collins announced the 3rd annual Wish for Wheels FoCo program to bring a new bike and helmet to every second grader in Poudre School District’s (PSD) Title 1 schools. We're happy to report that, as we did in 2021, that with the help of sponsors like these and over 80 volunteers, we were able to do so. READ MORE

Kick-off the Season with Holiday Fest! - December 3

We've watched their building go up over the last year at the corner of Prospect & College Ave. and now it's time for it to open. Alpine Bank is excited to expand to Fort Collins. And as BFC's newest business member, come help them celebrate their Grand Opening on Saturday, December 3 from 3-6 p.m. Those who attend the FREE event can enjoy pictures with Santa, cookie-tasting, mistletoe-making, prize drawings, plus hot chocolate and snacks served from food trucks. Kids will also be able to write and send letters and Christmas wish lists to The North Pole in a special mailbox.

Bike the Lights Ride - December 22

The annual BFC Bike the Lights is Thursday December 22. Mark your calendars. We have our bike elves hard at work scoping out the best lights and working on the route and the gathering spot, all you need to do is bring your holiday cheer and of course your bike.
