MORE CHOICES & BETTER PRICES

Inventories rise slightly and days on the market creeps up a bit.
Prices have stabilized.

Overall pending sales are down 8% for the 12-months ending 02/2017

Overall closed sales are down 10% for the 12-months ending 02/2017

Overall median closed price is up 3% for the 12-months ending 02/2017

Inventory is up 16% from Feb 2016 to Feb 2017

Average Days on Market is up 25% from Feb 2016 to Feb 2017


Naples, Fla. (March 17, 2017) – Overall inventory rose yet prices remained stable in February according to broker analysts who reviewed the February 2017 Market Report released by the Naples Area Board of REALTORS® (NABOR®), which tracks home listings and sales within Collier County (excluding Marco Island) using the Southwest Florida MLS. Overall pending sales (homes under contract) and overall closed sales also increased in February keeping REALTORS® out in the field and busy with showings and closings. 

“Compared to this time last year when we were challenged to find properties for customers, the February report showed inventory is up by nearly 1,000 new listings, giving us almost nine months of inventory to show eager buyers,” said Dominic Pallini, NABOR® President, and President and Broker at Vanderbilt Realty. “Buyers have more choices now. This trend is promising.”

For the second time in a row, Gallup-Healthways ranked this Florida city first for overall well-being.
Switzerland may be the best country in the world (or so says U.S. News & World Report), but there is plenty of happiness to be found here in the USA -and particularly in Florida, according to the latest data from Gallup-Healthways.  For the second year in a row, Naples and the nearby communities of Immokalee and Marco Island have ranked first in their “American well-being” Index, A. Pawlowski reports for Today.

The 2016  Community Well-Being Index  is based on Gallup interviews with more than 350,000 people. Researchers analyzed these conversations to measure how residents feel about their physical, emotional, financial, community and social health.

Naples performed well in all categories. The city “had the country’s highest number of residents thriving in community well-being, highest rates of healthy eating, lowest rates of daily stress, and lowest lifetimes diagnoses of depression,” the authors of the report write.
