From Bill Brown Ford:
"We are excited to share that Bill Brown Ford has been named the #1 Volume Ford Dealership in the World for 2021. This historic win finally brings this title back to the Detroit region, where it belongs. We could not have accomplished this without you, the best customers in the metro, by our side.
"At Bill Brown, we've been on a mission to simplify the auto buying process, and from sales to service to prep and finance, every team member was focused on improving the dealership experience in 2021. Thanks to the unending support of our amazing staff, we have brought this award back to the Motor City!!
"We want to thank the community and the entire Ford Motor Company family for partnering and innovating with us. Because of you, Bill Brown Ford is now the #1 Volume Ford Dealer in the World."

Vote.Run.Serve - Livonia (found on a Facebook page offered by Carrie Budzinski--and which is being shared here occasionally in FridayMusings) will be doing informative, brief posting on an important, local topic every Monday. Carrie seeks to inform and inspire the public, with the underlining intention of inducing citizen-led positive changes in our community.
Service comes in all stripes to a community. Some donate time or money to philanthropic efforts, efforts ubiquitous in Livonia as addressed in the last Monday post. Some feel compelled to take on elected or appointed roles, be it a city-wide, school-specific, or neighborhood association position. Some are business owners. Some serve in issue-orientated advocacy roles, calling attention to a specific local topic.
We have only begun to scratch the surface of documenting Livonia’s leaders and will continue to in the new year. This Monday, we feel compelled to highlight a unique set of leaders in our community, citizen journalists.
Livonia is fortunate to receive representation in the Observer and Eccentric (Livonia Observer), a newspaper that covers Wayne and Oakland county. Shelby Tankersley and the team are very responsive to factual corrections, and story ideas.
That said, Michigan’s 9th largest city deserves to have more intimate coverage of its happenings. Coverage a media operation with a wide scope does not have the resources to provide.
• Bill Joyner’s Friday Musings plays a pivotal role in our community. Whether he’s calling attention to outstanding efforts in our community and bringing attention to neighbors in need, Bill always delivers. When Boy Scouts Troop 732 had a trailer of camping equipment stolen, Bill helped coordinate an effort to replace the equipment. The equipment was replaced in 24 hours.
• Michael Testa provides meeting minutes for all school board voting meetings, publishing them in the Discussion group for Livonia Public Schools. Mike also serves as a subject matter expert on public school-related policy, freely sharing his knowledge with inquiring minds.
• Beyond Livonia, Livonia citizens journalists play a vital role in keeping elected officials accountable. Kayleigh Rene, a freelance journalist with Document Detroit, recently caught a typographical error detailing Detroit’s contract for Covid-19 testing kits while also calling attention to the lack of bid details.
