I took the dare and joined Dan MacIver and the bodyguard for a birthday lunch in North Livonia otherwise known as Farmington.
Once the 1/2 day visa was approved to cross Eight Mile we were off.
Three huge patios with the best propane heaters and a handful of tables inside so well spaced that it was a canyon between seating.
Waitress Sue, from Westland, helped make our first visit to the Sidecar memorable. A great ambassador for the restaurant.
The bodyguard had a salmon slider and a PBJ slider. That's right peanut butter and jelly with cheese and bacon.
Dan had brussel sprouts with bleau cheese and bacon and a slider with meat blackened, pepper jack, habanero popper and habanero aioli.
The typewriter kept it simple 3 oz of hamburger slider and a chicken breast slider. Boring eater.
The menu also includes hot dogs, pita tacos and so much more. A real trip with widened eyes as you read over the possibilities.
The owner sent over deep fried oreo's with a melted marshmellow and chocolate sauce. Really? It was great. Thank you.
LET'S GIVE THE SIDE BAR SLIDER BAR THREE TYPEWRITERS. Refreshing in this age of static bars with typical bar food.

I get to love you By Ruelle, Cover by Svetlana Tsivinskaya, concertmaster for our Livonia Symphony Orchestra, on violin.
Svetlana's passion for classical music began at age 6, when she picked up the violin. Her diverse interests within the field of classical music culminated with both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Music College and State Music Conservatory in her native Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
Our Livonia Symphony Orchestra is a Livonia gem proving the point that Livonia is the cultural heartbeat of southeast Michigan.

Let's take a look at the endorsements for
Commissioner Terry Marecki
|
James McConnell asks for another look at Commission candidate Nancy Darga.
Okay Jim, here is your note asking for a closer look and material being distributed by Darga:
"Great endorsement of State Rep Laurie Pohutsky, but I do wish you had taken a closer look at Nancy Darga, whose values truly are reflecting of Livonia.
"Saving/protecting Hines Park, supporting Friends of the Rouge, even help found the Motor cities National Heritage Area as well as her years of experience on Northville City Council.
"With her extensive experience in both county and municipal governments, Nancy Darga will be an outstanding County Commissioner."
