I am mad as heck and just can not take it anymore.
With over $400,000 of negative mailers from Grand Rapids, Tipton, Lansing coming into Livonia to defeat Laurie Pohutsky and which will suddenly stop November 3rd when the Political Action Committee's fold up and go away until called upon again to rise up from underground and the depths of ignorance to again pummel candidates not willing to be beholden to their neanderthal, sophomoric approach to life and living.
Oh yes, I am mad as heck at the Working Together for a Better Michigan in Tipton with ominous pictures of a befused and befuddled Laurie Pohutsky, all taken out of context with statements that pale by comparison with the truth. All designed to defeat Pohutsky without sharing positive attributes of Livonia or her opponent.
Oh, sure, all things are fair in love and politics. Baloney. It does a disservice to Martha Ptashnik and those supporting her like some of our Livonia elected officials. Support of whom who you want but not when they refuse to stand up to the negative image of our hometown portrayed in these mailers. But heck, one week after the election they will move on to the next city election. So wrong.
We have non-profit service clubs that could be the beneficiary of some of the $400,000-$500,000 being spent. Below are just some of the community groups deserving of your/our support. Musings has sent a letter to the Working Together for a Better Michigan, 4323 Munger Road, Tipton 49287 asking them to send an equal amount to our hometown non-profit organizations. If they can't then my message to them is simple: stay the heck out of Livonia.
Enough for this year. Just wait until Wednesday when Musings will break a huge story about major plans for Livonia families this holiday which should kick start a year of family outings. Time to move on and return to positive Livonia roots. Something Tipton Michigan has no concept of. But we will continue to support that which makes Livonia such a great town to live, work and play. Tipton be damned.

So Delish - Five Mile
A testimonial published on line as this is a brand new bakery: "This bakery really is so delish. My family ordered my birthday cake from here and I think it's the most delicious cake I've ever had. The chocolate buttercream is incredible. So fudgy and creamy. The cake was moist and flavorful. The piping work on top of the cake was gorgeous. We also pick up breakfast pastries a couple times a week and they're all tasty. Especially love the raspberry poppy seed pastry and the apple turnover. Raspberry and poppy seed is a flavor combination I never would have put together but it's fantastic. These guys are super talented!"
