Consent Agenda was passed unanimously
Waver petition for Kid Venture Child Care Center at 10531 Farmington to operate a day care nursery passed unanimously.
Waver petition for Livonia Athletic District at 14255 Stark Rd to install a wall sign was approved.
Request for additional appropriations for the contract with Great Lakes Contracting Solution, LLC was approved.
Request for additional appropriations for the concrete road maintenance contract with Great Lakes Contracting Solution, LLC was approved.
Mayor Maureen Miller Brosnan gave an update on the Livonia firefighters and on Livonia’s ongoing Covid situation. 1 out of 5 Livonia residents receiving their COVID vaccine received their shot from a Livonia Firefighter. Their dedication to helping the city through the pandemic has remained steadfast; As of last week, Livonia fire visited all independent senior resident centers to administer booster shots.
Mayor Brosnan also shared an update from St. Mary’s hospital; they are currently seeing the highest number of Covid-related hospitalizations since the start of the pandemic.
Currently no city-organized holiday events are in the process of being rescheduled due to Covid concerns.

Accepted for the consent agenda:
Designating Livonia First Responders Foundation as a non-profit. Contributions can be made at the Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union on 8 Mile Road.
Approving Livonia Office Compensation Commission plan for calendar year 2022 and 2023 was accepted with the exception of hero pay for city council members (including City Council President). As part of that, the Livonia City Council President will be getting an increase in their differential (from 6% to 10%).
Loyalty pay for part-time city of Livonia employees (including CERT volunteers) who worked at least 500 hours between April 2020 to March 2021.
Request to enter agreement between Michigan Economic Development Corporation and City of Livonia for senior playground at Bicentennial Park.
Granting senior memberships to Livonia Recreation Center for seniors with Peerfit.
Purchasing 4 new lawnmowers for park maintenance.
Request to accept DTE grant targeting replacement of Mercury Vapor Streetlights with LED lights. This project is expected to save Livonia approximately 215k a year.
Request to amend engineering contract with OHM Advisors for design engineering services for 2022 asphalt roads.
Request to amend engineering contract with AEW for design engineering services for 2022 concrete roads program and maintenance.
Request to remodel of interior and exterior of Mobile at 31301 Plymouth Road.
Request by Leaky Still to operate a small distillery at 27600 Schoolcraft.
Request by Kroger at 33543-33523 W 8 Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152 to amend previously approved redevelopment plan.
Request for additional appropriations to pay for emergency repairs and restoration to Fire Station #1 was added to regular agenda on Dec 3, with a request from several council members for more details on the invoice.
