Richard Leonardo Joyner makes a big announcement
|
Leo made the announcement. He will become a big brother in May 2021. A big brother to a sister as Raquel and Paul will bring into the world their second child. A girl.
Gramps Joyner and bodyguard Kathy received their Christmas present early and we am so happy for Paul and Raquel. The smile has not left our faces since we received the news.
The car is already packed for the trip in May.

Jim Jolly and
Maureen Brosnan
Jim Jolly had the pleasure of checking out the progress of Livonia’s new DPW building today with Mayor Maureen Brosnan and DeMaria. "It looks great and will make for a safer and more efficient operation for residents and employees when it is anticipated to be finished in July 2021."
Livonia continues work on improving services and customer service. Yes indeed.

"What an awesome day! Got myself my very first Pike on a perch rig no less! Lots of dancing by Bella and lots of minnows needing to be baited.
"Only sad the fish wasn’t big enough to take home to eat!"

You gotta love it, as I do, when people find something to make them smile and hopefully makes others smile as well.
Goodness knows we need to smile more.

Social Care Hotline in place.
833-247-1258
Mercy Health, Saint Joseph Mercy Health System has launched a social care hotline to connect individuals with needed support, including access to food, transportation, health insurance, medication assistance, dependent care and more.
|
"As a leading Catholic health system, our mission is to be a transforming, healing presence in the communities we serve, " said Dave Spivey, vice president of Community Health and Well Being, Trinity Health Michigan. "We know that social determinants of health, such as food insecurity and lack of health insurance, are a driving factor in poor health outcomes. The COVID-19 pandemic has escalated these challenges. Now more than ever people are struggling with job loss and other life changes and may not be sure where to begin finding needed services."
Anyone is invited to call the hospital hotline at 1-833-247-1258 and press 2 for west Michigan or 3 for southeast Michigan to be connected with a hospital representative who will help locate resources in their area.
|
With open enrollment currently taking place now through Dec. 15, 2020, staff are available to help enroll callers in health insurance programs such as Medicaid or Health Insurance Marketplace.
Since launching earlier this year, more than 5,000 people have been helped across the state by calling the hotline, with top needs including access to COVID-19 testing, transportation to medical appointments, housing support and food.
Check back Monday for an interview with Dave Spivey and his update on what is happening with this creative, community hotline.

Happy Birthday
Senator Dayna Polehanki
Thursday was Dayna Polehanki's 51st Birthday! While she would normally celebrate with an event, we all know that this year is different. So here is a shoutout to our State Senator.
Dayna has had quite a year in the Michigan Senate. If you have been following her progress, you know that she has been a champion for keeping Michiganders safe: supporting measures to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus, fighting to keep guns out of the Michigan Capitol, and holding polluters accountable.
