Our Livonia Symphony Orchestra helps define quality of life in our hometown.

He designs, builds and plays guitars. Add jewelry to that list. He is an engineer and is Vice President of AlphaUSA.

In addition to all of that he loves to attend the Livonia Symphony Orchestra. This typewriter would be remiss if he did not let Robert Stewart describe the holiday concert performed by the Symphony last weekend at Clarenceville High School:

"Wonderful afternoon at the LSO Christmas concert. Our hometown symphony is extraordinary. The arrangements were brilliant and the talented symphony and co-conductors executed every measure beautifully. It would be nice to see as many political folks at the post-election concerts as we saw at the pre-election events.

"Thank you to Charlie MahoneySusan Parker StewartRobert E StewartRose KachnowskiCarol Serra Bonamici and all the other hardworking Symphony volunteers who work very hard all year and put everything together for the Christmas concert. Also very nice to see so many good friends like Cindy and Dan Putman, who come out all the time to support our symphony.

"The Livonia Symphony Orchestra "Magical Fantasies" holiday concert included members of the Livonia Youth Symphony. This year's event featured Angie Hahn's Academy of Dance performing excerpts from Nutcracker Ballet. Musical director and conductor Volodymyr Shesuik with guest conductor Bruce Sole led the Livonia Symphony Orchestra through Cantique De Noel, Festive Sounds of Hanukkah, March of the Toys, Sleigh Ride and many other beautiful pieces. Fiona Johnston was fantastic as the featured soprano soloist. The music was fabulous as always, the dance segments were thrilling and the beautiful costumes made this another must attend holiday event."

For those who enjoy all the art and culture that our hometown benefits from, and we certainly do benefit from having a world class symphony. You can become a part of spreading the word while maintaining the quality of music that we offer not only Livonia residents but also neighbors throughout southeast Michigan.

Tuesday night Dan MacIver hosted a number of art supporters, specifically supporters of the Symphony Orchestra. Friday Musings was on hand when ten raffle tickets were sold, raffle tickets supporting the Livonia Symphony Orchestra.

Only 300 tickets are available to be sold for a one of a kind guitar. A real piece of art. So beautiful. And the tickets are only $100 each.

The Livonia business community and hometown leadership know a good thing when they see it.
Supporting the arts this coming weekend at the Livonia Civic Chorus holiday concert. See you there.

It is this Sunday, December 15th. The second weekend filled with holiday music. This coming weekend is our Livonia Civic Chorus holiday concert with music sure to get you in the holiday spirit. After all these volunteers who love to sing have been entertaining our Livonia neighbors during this season for 55 years.

If there is any indication that our hometown appreciates the Chorus all you have to do is look at the community support with the business and leadership sponsoring advertising in their keep sake program. And yes, when at the concert take a look at all the seats filled with smiling neighbors bringing in the holiday spirit.

Tickets are available at the Kirksey Recreation Center, Livonia Senior Center, members of the Chorus and at the door on the day of the concert.
