Livonia mourns with the Jolly Family the passing of Gabriel Joseph Jolly
Jim Jolly tells us that "Our little man Gabe left us to be with Jesus, but the impact of his life will live on forever. We are a strong family and will be even stronger with Gabe looking down on us. Please pray for Gabe and our family."
The following obituary was posted by the Harry Will Funeral Home on behalf of the Jolly family:
Gabriel Joseph Jolly, our beloved son, brother, and grandson.
Gabe is amazingly loved and cherished by his family and community, in his short life he was able to meet his parents and siblings and be baptized. He was born into this world and into heaven on February 27, 2022 which is the feast day of St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows.
The purpose and meaning of his short life will live on in those who loved him forever.
Gabe was diagnosed at 20 weeks gestation with Trisomy 18 and fought hard as he exceeded medical expectations. He and his family benefitted from many prayers and experienced many miracles during the pregnancy and in his short life including the answering of the family's prayer that he and his siblings be able to meet in this life.
We are thankful to Our Lord Jesus Christ and to the nurses, doctors, social workers, and chaplains at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak who made Gabe's time with his family possible.
He is survived by his mom and dad Katie and Jim Jolly, sisters Lexie and Claire, brother JD, and grandparents Pamela and David Repp and Sue and Jim Jolly.
Donations can be made in Gabe's name to the Livonia Goodfellows to support the Christmas wishes of local families.

Livonia Home Show returns March 12
The Livonia Home Improvement Show returns to the Kirksey Recreation Center on Saturday, March 12, perfectly timed for residents eager to move on from winter and start planning home projects for the upcoming spring and summer months.
Sponsored by Masco Corp., this is the 11th year for the Livonia Chamber of Commerce show that will run 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Recreation Center’s MAC Gym. Admission and parking are free and open to the public.
At least 45 contractors and businesses, from concrete to landscaping, roofing to flooring, and many more, will be ready to answer questions, prepare estimates, and schedule appointments on the spot.
With a tight housing market and equity available by increased housing values, homeowners are looking to invest in their current homes and this event gives them an opportunity to connect with quality, local contractors.
“Many consumers have told us they prefer to deal with local businesses, and this event gives them a chance to meet representatives from such companies directly,” said Dan West, chamber president and CEO. “Our community home show provides a stress-free environment for consumers to explore opportunities to enhance their home and yard.”
Exhibitors are Livonia-based businesses or from nearby communities. For more details contact Laura Tahmouch at the Livonia Chamber at 734-427-2122, or via email at tahmouch@livonia.org.

Delia Jane Cranson was born in 1835. Her father built the Greenmead gift shop in the 1830s and expanded it to the current size in 1850, where Delia lived as one of six children until she passed in 1870.
In honor of one of our oldest lifelong residents, we’ve rebranded the Hinbern Gift Shop to now be known as Delia’s Treasures. We continue to offer a unique shopping experience with a variety of gifts you won’t be able to easily find elsewhere.
Visit Livonia.gov/1911 to get a glimpse of the shop and learn how you can swing by Greenmead Historical Park to shop for that next special occasion.

Join State Representative Laurie Pohutsky this SUNDAY AT 2 – 3 PM, Coffee Hour at
Livonia's Coffee + Cream
Pohutsky says that "On Tuesday, the House passed legislation that will cut state revenue by $9 billion over the next two years. Michiganders would only save between $12 and $92 yearly.
"Meanwhile, the same people are paying hundreds or thousands of dollars every year because of our crumbling infrastructure or can't drink water from the tap because of contaminants, both of which are issues that could be addressed with that $9 billion.
"SB 768 is irresponsible legislation that doesn't address the actual problems our state faces. I voted no."
