Reactions to the presentation by Governor Gretchen Whitmer
at a luncheon sponsored by our Livonia Chamber of Commerce
It looked to be quite a luncheon featuring Governor Gretchen Whitmer and hosted by the Livonia Chamber of Commerce. Here are just a few of the comments folks posted after the luncheon:
Dan West describes the Whitmer visit, sponsored by the Livonia
Chamber of Commerce, as "a lot of fun with Governor Gretchen Whitmer during her visit to our Livonia Chamber luncheon yesterday. She talked about building common ground around core issues of roads, education, closing skills gap, and health care.

"Many people got to meet her in person as she worked the room, including Livonia and Clarenceville students who joined us."

City Councilman Brandon McCullough used the luncheon to "thank her for her continued support of our schools."

Mayor Maureen Miller Brosnan,
"Governor Whitmer dropped by today to share her 2020 Strategy with the Livonia Chamber of Commerce. She talked about her plans to take care of the fundamental needs of the state. Along with Councilmembers White, Donovic and McCullough, I was glad fixing our roads remains at the core of her strategy."

Not all had the same take about the Governor's comments. Penny Crider, a candidate for State Representative said that she "Spent my lunch with the Livonia Chamber and many of my neighbors to hear what the Governor has in store for our state. You didn't have to listen long to realize how important it is for Republicans to hold the majority in the Michigan legislature. We need your help and support as the conservative future of Livonia and our state is at stake."

Pictures above were taken from the Facebook pages of Dan West, Mayor Maureen Miller Brosnan, Penny Crider and Brandon McCullough.

~Seedlings Spotlight!~

Brooke (pictured), is one of "Seedlings' kids." She recently received some free books from one of our programs and here is the nice quote her family sent in response:

"Your books have been a huge help in teaching my daughter to read Braille before she loses her eyesight! She enjoys them and loves to try to teach her baby brother Braille with them as well. You have helped me  in getting her a collection started! We thank you and appreciate all you do."

We are so glad to hear that our books have been helpful to Brooke and your family! Happy reading!
