Livonia's Allen Brooks showcases his works of art throughout the region.
"One of my favorites, if not my favorite photograph WAITING FOR MOSES is in the Hatchback 15 Exhibit at Hatch Gallery in Hamtrmck MI. The exhibit runs April 3-24. Gallery hours are Thursday 6-9 and Saturday 12-6. The Gallery is located at 3456 Evaline. After looking at some great art grab a bite of delicious Polish food that Hamtrmck has to offer!"
Be Kind to your neighbors

The Neighborhood Grant Program was established by the Livonia City Council to encourage residents to work collaboratively to foster a sense of community and actively participate in making improvements to their neighborhoods. An update on our City Council candidates

It's National Library Week so if you haven't been to the Livonia Public Library recently here's a look inside the Civic Center. I LOVE libraries and am honored to be the Board Chair of the Livonia Library Commission.

According to the #LoveLivonia survey our libraries are the most used amenity after parks (77% say they use them). They offer important services to the community and have done an incredible job in the past year setting a standard for best practices across the region.

Currently, the Civic Center and Sandberg are open to the public for grab-and-go services. You can also reserve computer time or check out hot spots to use the internet at home. Borrow traditional books or access a vast online collection for your tablet.

If you have kids the Story Walk will reopen soon and there's an Earth Day Storytime with Gro-Town on Thursday, April 22 @ 11 am - I'll be there with the boys!

I'm also signed up for Pollinator Preservation on Wednesday, May 19th. An adult services program will be held in the auditorium and hosted by Master Gardener Cheryl English. #gardengoals
