Thanks to Margaret Kusisto for the pictures used in this commentary:
What happens when you bring a community together to help a friend battling cancer? When the athletic community in Livonia came together last Saturday it helped answer that question.
There were a lot of smiles, a lot of fun, and a lot of encouragement.
All of Livonia thanks our athletic community for coming out and supporting Matt Jones as he takes the first steps in the battle against cancer.
So many have watched their children become proficient in softball and in life itself with Coach Jones. Just as many watched the teaching skills of Matt Jones.
Livonia is a collection of communities. Art. Music. MOMs, Athletics, Robotics, etc. Watching each of our Livonia communities come together when called on is what makes Livonia so special.
Thanks, athletic supporters for giving this typewriter a more clear understanding of how Livonia is a patchwork of communities each with its own identities and own needs.
Matt Jones Livonia thank you for providing leadership in one of our many communities. That leadership is one reason so many turned out last Saturday.
Now let's go out and defeat cancer.
