Carrie Budzinski seeks her first term
on City Council
"My husband Daniel and I met while working at the Livonia Civic Center Library 16 years ago. We have two young boys we're raising in Livonia to be close to grandparents. I love being a mom and it's important to me that my boys understand work and participate in my efforts to make the world a better place - this means you'll often see them with me at events or meetings. And because I'm a mom, that means I know how to do a lot of things at once - well and efficiently.
"I attended school at Hayes, Riley, Churchill and the University of Michigan-Dearborn and I always graduated with honors.
"I have experience working for the City of Livonia as a former library employee and currently as a City Commissioner, appointed by Mayors Dennis Wright and Maureen Miller Brosnan. I understand how to navigate government bureaucracy and solve constituent concerns. I understand the business of non-profits and start-ups and am experienced in managing corporate relations."

Six have filed for City Council. We have until Tuesday at the close of business to see if any others will join the race with the biggest question yet to be answered is if there will be the nine required for a primary.
Word on the street has the potential for Joel Turbiak, Livonia Zoning Board of Appeals and appointee of Councilman Scott Bahr,to seek a position on for Council.
We know that Penny Crider former aide to Senator Patrick Colbeck and candidate for the Republican nomination for State Representative in 2020, has taken out an information packet for a run for Council made available at the City Clerk's office.
