Keeping up with the candidates
As information comes available on the candidates running for Livonia City Council FridayMusings will publish them. Some information will have been gleaned from facebook postings or websites when they come available:
Carrie Budzinksi offers up this posting on her campaign for Livonia City Council " I am BEYOND thrilled to announce that Dr. Josh Myers will be my campaign manager!

Josh worked for both Senator Carl Levin and Congressman John Dingell. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Foundation at Monroe Community College.

In 2009 I was an intern at Congressman Dingell's office and I was the only intern to volunteer to help with the District Art Show. After it was over, I hung out with the cool kids (aka staff) talking about news around town. Josh shared that there was a casework position open in Senator Levin's Detroit office and told me to apply. Finding a job in 2009 was not easy and this was a golden ticket in more ways than one.

Josh's wife Sheila worked for Levin, my intern supervisor at Dingell's office Emily (who gave me a great recommendation) had a new boyfriend who worked for Levin. Chris did VA casework and he remains one of the few people I will ever call for a favor. That night set me on the path for Levinland where I met the best of friends and forever work-family Gina Mae, Gale, Amy, Cathy, and Melissa (to name just a few).

I've known Josh for a dozen years now and he (and Sheila) is easily one of the best people I know. Running for office is stressful and scary and I'm so relieved to have a trusted friend support me in this journey.
Dan Centers invites you to join him for a virtual kickoff to support his campaign for Livonia City Council this May 6. "We are proud to welcome special guest State Representative Darrin Camilleri."
