Sunday Morning at the Spree get ready for the Livonia 5K run/walk

Sign up for the Livonia Spree 5k run/walk sponsored by the Livonia Athletic District on Sunday, June 26th! The event takes place at Livonia City Hall. We are super excited about this fun family-friendly event!

All the race details you need:

Pricing: $30 until June 19th, then $35. $40 race day (shirts not guaranteed)
Ages 18 and under and Seniors 60+: $5 Discount (reduced price automatically applied during checkout). 
Family Discounted pricing: Save $3 per person when you register 3 or more people at the same time. 
Get a cool race t-shirt: the T-shirt is guaranteed with paid registration by end of day June 12th. T-shirts may be available after that date as supplies last. We are offering adult unisex and children's sizes.
Finisher medals for all 5k Run participants! 
Early Packet Pickup: Saturday, June 25th at the Livonia Athletic District 10-12 and 2-4 pm, 14255 Stark Rd. Livonia MI 48154
Race day packet pickup and registration: 7:30 am at the race start line, Livonia City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive.
Schedule: The race starts at 8:30 am.

The race will be professionally chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.

Sunday Night at the Spree get ready for Livonia Fireworks

Each year Livonia Spree concludes with its Grand Finale Fireworks Extravaganza on Sunday night at dusk (approximately 10:15 pm).
Eagerly anticipated by Spree visitors, Sunday night will find the Spree grounds filled with people, lawn chairs set up and picnics in progress along major Livonia streets.

This year the Livonia Anniversary Committee, Inc. will spend more than $50,000 for its annual 30-minutes fireworks show. 
 
The Livonia Police Department will close Farmington Road between Five Mile and Schoolcraft, as well as Lyndon, Summers, and Civic Center Drive, all at Farmington Road, at approximately 7:00 pm. 

After the fireworks show, traffic exiting Ford Field from the Lyndon and Farmington Road area will be directed southbound on Farmington Road toward Plymouth Road or eastbound on Schoolcraft from Farmington Road. All traffic exiting the Spree grounds from Stark Road will be directed south on Stark Road to Plymouth or west on westbound Schoolcraft.

Farmington Road between Five Mile and Schoolcraft will remain closed to normal traffic for approximately 40 minutes at the conclusion of the fireworks show. The Spree Shuttle Service will be in full operation on Sunday from noon until after the fireworks to transport visitors between the Spree grounds and the parking facilities at Livonia City Hall.

In cooperation with the Livonia Fire Department, the annual Spree Fireworks Show complies with all established safety procedures, especially those regarding proximity between the firing location and the public. Spree visitors are asked not to cross safety lines established by the fireworks professionals and not to attempt to access the firing site by other means.
