showcased in Romeo and Juliet

Hope to see you all at the Inaugural Shakespeare in the Park. Food trucks at 6:00 and performance at 7:00 in Stymelski Park, July 29-31.
Check out the video and some of the actors performing. They are working diligently for this performance.
When the typewriter stopped by Stymelski Park it all seemed real as crew members were busy painting the stage. So cool.
|
The typewriter and bodyguard will be there on July 29, 6:00 for dinner and show. Thanks, Hardie's Family Trust for underwriting this event, and thanks to Community Financial Credit Union for helping with sponsorship. But most of all thank you Livonia Parks and Recreation for putting Shakespeare in the Park as a Livonia happening.

Victory Day at Madonna University August 6th
|
A great event for children who are cognitively or physically impaired is coming up in a couple weeks. Help spread the word about the second annual Victory Day at Madonna University for cognitively and physically impaired children/adults.
The event takes place on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Madonna Athletic Complex (The MAC) at Newburgh Rd. and Five Mile.
Participants will have an opportunity to play football, volleyball, or soccer, run track, cheer, and have their "moment in the sun."
Each participant will be partnered with a Madonna student-athlete who will be their mentor. After the National Anthem is played, each child, dressed in a Victory Day t-shirt, will run through a tunnel formed by the student-athletes, as the child's name is announced over the loudspeaker.
Each participant will have an opportunity to run or catch a pass for a touchdown with play-by-play announcing. Other sports teams will have stations of activities. The Gridiron Club will serve hot dogs and drinks for the families after the event.

How cool for Dax and Sawyer. We do have a giving community.
|
This past weekend, a few of our officers stopped at a lemonade stand to help support 5-year-old Dax and 7-year-old Sawyer, who were raising money for the Free Wheelchair Foundation. This foundation provides free wheelchairs to those in need. With the support from the community, Dax and Sawyer were able to raise over $1,300 to purchase 14 wheelchairs. A big thank you to Dax and Sawyer for their commitment to serving the community!

Rotary Noon Club of Livonia has some great speakers every Monday at Archie's.
