3 days, January 25, left to make your reservation for the free private showing of "I Love This Country" at the Phoenix Theatre

Rob Turfe, raised in Dearborn, with family in Livonia, and a West Point graduate, is preparing to fly in from California for the free private showing of his short film “I Love This Country”. The Phoenix Theatre and owner Cory Jacobson is also preparing to welcome the community to our own Livonia Art in the Park. Brandon McCullough, President of the Livonia City Council, will introduce Rob.

The private showing is set for 7:00 pm on January 25. If you would like to be a part of the evening with a limited private audience in the state-of-the-art Phoenix Theatre complete with Atmos Dolby Sound, send a note to [email protected].

Immediately following the film, a panel discussion will be moderated by Steve Spreitzer and Rob Turfe. The film and panel discussion will conclude at 8:30. The distinguished panel includes:

Livonia residents, come together with your neighbors on Tuesday, January 23rd, to stand in solidarity with the south-end community. We aim to preserve an essential anchor building that has suffered from neglect over the years and now faces the threat of demolition for the sake of “economic development.” Let us unite and protect our shared heritage.

What motivates FridayMusings:

We can't only define Livonia as taking small steps toward maintaining the way things were. That will give us mediocre outcomes. Our goal needs to be innovative and transformative.
