Bill allowing 4 a.m. bar closing during convention advances

Wisconsin wants to roll out the barrel into the early morning hours for people coming for the Democratic National Convention this summer.  Bars across the state will be able to stay open until 4 a.m. the four nights of the convention under a bipartisan bill approved unanimously by a state Assembly committee on Thursday.

Historic preservationists were victorious in Waukesha Tuesday evening. The common council voted to block a request by Waukesha County to tear down a building that's a key part of the last intact resort from Waukesha's springs era a century ago.

As our Task Force works on selecting our new WH&LA President, CEO to lead us forward, we are very pleased to share that we have retained Trisha Pugal, CAE to serve as WH&LA's "Interim CEO" to work with our hard-working office team and contract lobbyist to ensure that the association is on track with our key services and operations from now through the onboarding of our incoming CEO, on a contracted part-time basis as she also completes the roll-out of her new association consulting business.
