Join us for hands on session in the computer lab at our Billings Public Library.

Our program for January will be a live tour of the TTN Website.  Linda Wham will guide you through the process of signing on to the website, signing up for events, renewing your membership and finding resources to help you naviagate your  transition.

Program outreach: Your TTN Chapter

Our chapter is growing and we find the need to invest in a computer.  

  The Billings Public Library has changed its policy and we can no longer borrow a laptop to use to present our programs.  

The investment of a laptop will allow us to assist signing up members at events, keep all our information in one place, and be available for our guest speakers.

2018 Connections
Twice a year we will gather all our new members and connect them with each other.  

New members from 2017 through the first of January will be invited to meet on January 22nd at Yellowstone Cellars.  Watch for an invitation and details!
 
This is what you hear when TTN members get together.

  • "I'm transitioning to immobility. I've met a true friend. It's been very meaningful." 
  • "My peer group helped me figure out what retirement will really be like."
  • "The women I've met in TTN give me the courage to live a solo life." 
  •  "Hearing about how other women downsized helped me face some tough decisions about where I live."
 
It's what we do for each other than has the most impact.

New Peer Group  Coordinator:  Marti Miller
Our Peer Groups launched in March of last year and we have 3 active groups.  Taking over our coordinator position will be Marti Miller.  If you are interested in becoming part of a group or have questions Marti can be reached at montanamarti@gmail.com

Peer Group are facilitated groups composed of 8-12 TTN members.  A safe and supportive environment provides members a place for thought-provoking and stimulating conversations relating to transition to help members reflect on their lives - past, present and future.
Welcome Mary Stabio

 
 
Mary has joined the steering committee 
as our new secretary.

She enjoys meeting TTN members at the Meet and Greets and is a member of the One-and-Done and Spirit Women groups.

Since retiring in 2015 after 27 years as an auditor with the state department of labor, Mary and her husband Mark have enjoyed traveling.  They have three twenty-something children, all living in Billings.

Raised in a small town near Billings and educated at MSU-Bozeman, Mary enjoys volunteering at both her church and at a faith-based non profit organization.  She enjoys playing piano, cooking, reading, walking and her classes at a local gym in her spare time.

Evey LaMont is our coordinator of the Billings TTN Special Interest Groups (SIGs):  groups of women who share a special interest.

Community Outreach
Outreach Makes A  
Difference

TTN women want to stay involved. They are using their skills to positively impact their own communities on a variety of levels. And they are changing the way organizations think of volunteers.  No longer satisfied to just stuff envelopes, our members are directing resources, raising money and finding gratification in "giving back." 

One way we can "give back" is by making donations to local non-profits.  In conjunction with our quarterly program we will highlight one organization which donations will be taken to. We will provide a list of items that the organization is in need of and ask that you consider a gift when joining us at the program.
