FRESH & FUNKY
Valley Milkhouse
Haloumi, Honey Bell & More!
This Saturday VMH brings back Haloumi, Honey Bell, Blue Bell and Marigold! Plus, a special repeat of Fresno-chili Clover! Don’t forget to grab your map for the newly launched Berks County Cheese Trail and celebrate Dairy Day with VMH on October 5 for their annual open house!

Haloumi is a Greek style grilling cheese that has a high melting point. You can sear it in a skillet, grill it over charcoal or cube it up and add it to stews and stir fries for an extra dose of protein with a texture similar to firm tofu. The flavor profile is milky, sweet, mild and slightly nutty when cooked. Try the VMH favorite - cube it and add it to your veggie curry in place of paneer. It’s the best!

LOCALLY GROWN MUSIC
Billy Bauer is Back and so is our Martin Guitar Raffle!
When local musician Billy Bauer performed at the market last fall he was blown away by the sound of the Martin OME Cherry guitar. Well, Billy's back in the Music Tent this week and is helping the market kick off our 2019 Martin Guitar Raffle to benefit the music programs of the Easton Market District

Billy Bauer picked up a guitar after listening to a Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds album, and as they say, the rest is history. He says he didn't intend on being a musician; however, that changed when he bought an acoustic guitar, and following the advice of his father, turned sorrow into songwriting. Billy is one of the first musical acts to support the fresh and local music scene at EFM and we are happy to have him return again this season. Don't miss Billy and his original music this Saturday at the Music Tent from 10 am to 12 noon on the north lawn of the Circle.

The Martin OME Cherry is made locally in Nazareth PA and is rafted entirely from FSC ® certified woods, including a Sitka spruce top, cherry back and sides, a mahogany high performance neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and an African blackwood headplate, the OME Cherry is Martin’s newest FSC guitar. The model includes gold open gear tuners and arrives stage ready with Fishman® Matrix VT Enhance™ electronics so you can rock out and sound as good plugged in as you do unplugged. As pioneers in sustainable guitar building, Martin proudly partners with the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) to bring you a line of great sounding, sustainable wood guitars. When you play this comfortable and classy orchestra model, you can be sure that Mother Earth will be cheering you on! Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.
