More Job Cuts At Nestle
Nestlé announced it will cut 16,000 jobs worldwide over the next two years,
according to new CEO Philipp Navratil. The move will mainly affect white-collar roles as the company works to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Despite the cuts, Nestlé reported 1.5% organic growth in the third quarter, driven by strong coffee and confectionery sales. Meet the Physics Nobel Peace Prize Winners of 2025
The Royal Swedish Academy of Science announced the Nobel Prize in Physics to John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret and John M. Martins. The three winners will share a prize money of 11 million Swedish kronor. The Nobel committee recognised the breakthrough work - the discovery of macroscopic quantum mechanical tunnelling and energy quantisation in an electric circuit. Sumo Wrestling Comes to London
Crowds in London were amazed as sumo champions Yokozuna Onosato and Hoshoryu toured central London recently, ahead of the Grand Sumo Tournament at the Royal Albert Hall, a first for the UK in 34 years. Dressed in traditional kimono, they visited Buckingham Palace and Westminster, drawing cheers and admiration. The tournament, held from October 15 to 19, featured a dohyō built from British soil. For many Londoners, it was a rare chance to experience Japan’s national sport.
