Hello church family,
At our Town Hall meeting last Wednesday night (April 27) we heard newly agreed details of The Hills opportunity, as well as statements from many Skillman members. We also learned more about multiple alternative proposals and suggestions. We trust you received our follow-up email last Thursday (April 28) that included the Elder’s presentation and a full copy of the "Assurances" agreement between Skillman and The Hills.
One concern we’ve heard is that the Assurances from The Hills are “non-binding”. Those familiar with complex transactions know this language is common when final due diligence items, like tax and accounting reviews, and member voting have not been completed. However, to further demonstrate that The Hills has agreed to and is fully obligated to all of the commitments in the Assurances, the final sentence of that document has been revised to make clear it is a binding agreement. Click here for the updated agreement.
We continue to listen closely to Skillman members comments and concerns, and are responding to both verbal and written questions as fast as we are able. And thanks to all who have provided written statements to be included in the Town Hall meeting record. We hope to get all of this information online and available soon.
This updated document is another positive step forward. We will continue to listen and lead, and plan to have another important update for you on member voting later this week.
In His service,
Shane, Craig, and David
