These awards demonstrate the impressive network of support and leadership within our ecosystem, and at LSBC, we are so proud to help amplify the innovations and progress taking place. On that note, kudos to Michael Smith Health Research BC who recently announced funding for 71 scholars and research trainees through the 2022 Scholar and Research Trainee competitions to help develop, attract, and retain BC’s best and brightest health researchers while supporting the advancement of world-class health research in our province!

In other member news this week, Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc. announced that the European Commission has granted marketing authorization of LUPKYNIS (voclosporin) to treat adults with active lupus nephritis.
