Life Sciences in the News
To support the marketing efforts for our 2nd Annual Career Connect Day, presented by BioTalent Canada, I have been busy fielding numerous media interviews to support awareness of the event. A list of media interviews include: CIVL Radio (University of the Fraser Valley), News 1130 Radio (CKWX), CBC Radio, The Canadian Press, Business in Vancouver, Conversations that Matter (Vancouver Sun - video podcast) with a few more in the coming days. We will post them on our website once they are available for dissemination.
LSBC recently collaborated on an Op-Ed piece with the British Columbia Business Council and Innovative Medicines Canada, that speaks to our sector’s strengths and contribution to B.C.’s economy and now, our economic recovery. We look forward to posting the op-ed once it has been published in the Vancouver Sun.
Also very newsworthy in the last few days, is the exciting announcement from adMare BioInnovations of the launch of Abdera Therapeutics Inc., their third new well-funded spin-off company this fiscal. With AbCellera as a founding partner, Abdera is a precision oncology company developing novel next-generation targeted alpha therapies (TATs) for patients with relapsed, refractory and metastatic cancers. Big congratulations to all who have played a role in this exciting milestone and to the founding CEO, Dr. Lana Janes and Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Michael Abrams. You can read the full news release here.
Hope to see everyone Friday, at Career Connect Day!
