Novartis VC fund coleads $17M Series A in inflammatory disease startup 
 
September 12, 2016 | by Nick Paul Taylor |The VC wing of Novartis ($NVS) has joined with Fountain Healthcare Partners to lead a $17 million round in Inflazome, a chronic inflammatory disease startup. Inflazome will use the cash to advance small molecules against the innate immune system receptors known as inflammasomes, targets that have been linked to diseases as diverse as Alzheimer's and Type 2 diabetes.
