BioME Student Showcase
& Spring Networking Reception

Join us for our 2nd annual BioME Student Showcase followed by a Spring Networking Reception. This event will take place on April 15th from 2-5:30PM (Student Showcase) and 5:30-7PM (Spring Networking Reception) at Cloudport CoWorking MultiSpace in Portland, ME.

Help to support innovation and student research in Maine! BioME Student Showcase is an exciting opportunity for Maine high school and college students to show off their passion for life science and present their research for a chance to win cash and academic prizes. Students must be enrolled in Maine educational institutions to participate. 

BioME Spring Networking Reception will follow. Come network with life sciences professionals and students in Maine over drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Both events are free to attend and open to all.

Baker Company Tour & Networking

Last spots available  - Join us on March 25th for a tour of The Baker Company, followed by refreshments and networking. This tour is a great opportunity for our members and guests to visit one of Maine's most innovative life science companies and catch a glimpse of how lab cabinets and hoods are built. Baker's laboratory products are built to order with precision craftsmanship and designed expressly for individual needs. Catch up with the local life sciences community during a networking get-together following the tour. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

BioME Legislative Reception


On January 28, 2020, we hosted our annual BioME Legislative Reception at the Maple Hill Farm Inn & Conference Center in Hallowell, Maine.

BioME members and guests were given the opportunity to speak with Maine State Legislators about the bioscience industry in Maine and their policy needs. Legislators got an inside perspective of life sciences as a whole and how this industry affects Maine’s economy.

Roux Institue
A big step for Maine's life sciences' ecosystem

Northeastern University will establish a graduate school and research center in Portland to award certificates, master’s degrees and Ph.D.'s in artificial intelligence and machine learning — geared in particular toward the life sciences. Thank you to the Roux Family Foundation for this effort!
