Save the Date! ME Bioscience Day 2019
Calling volunteer speakers! Maine Bioscience Day will take place on November 21, 2019. This statewide event aims to get middle school students excited about science. The event focuses on educating Maine's youth about the opportunities they might have working in science-related fields in their future. Professionals in science-related fields volunteer to visit local middle school classrooms to talk with students about their career in science, their daily tasks, and the opportunities that are available in science based careers.

BioME Summer Science Camp Winners
Did you know that this year BioME has funded 5 scholarships in the form of 1-week-long summer science camps at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone. We originally intended to give out 4 scholarships but after reviewing all applications, BioME Board of Directors decided to grant an additional award ! All 5 awardees attend schools that participated in ME Bioscience Day 2018.  The  MSSM  Summer Science Camp program provides an opportunity for campers to exchange ideas and experiences with like-minded peers and an enthusiastic and dedicated staff who share their passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
