BioNJ is pleased to announce our second Entrepreneurship Fellowship Program opportunity as of July 1, 2019. The program was created to mentor, develop and train life sciences entrepreneurs in New Jersey.

We are seeking companies to host our second Fellow for a six month period between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2021.

Each Fellow serves for six months at each company where the Fellow is immersed in key functional areas including, but not limited to clinical operations, regulatory affairs, finance, market research, new product planning and business development.

Participating host companies to date include Amicus Therapeutics, Pfizer, Photocure, OncoSec and Rafael Pharma.

Our first fellow, Irina Katz, PharmD , is being hosted over a two-year period by Amicus Therapeutics, Pfizer, Photocure and Rafael Pharma.

"The BioNJ Fellowship program is an excellent way for companies to access top scientific talent to enhance their workforces in the short-term, and evaluate long-term employment prospects in hands-on work settings. In 2018, Pfizer sponsored BioNJ Fellow, Irina Katz, for a 6-month rotation. She worked side by side Pfizer colleagues in business development, medical affairs and regulatory, contributing to evaluation of external opportunities and internal pipeline development. The rigorous interview process, conducted by BioNJ in concert with the Host Sponsoring Companies, identified a Fellow who had the right skills, work ethic, motivation and enthusiasm that made the experience a very beneficial and valuable one for Pfizer, the Sponsor and for the Fellow. With a modest investment, Pfizer was able to bring on a highly trained technical resource to immediately contribute to ongoing projects. In the process, Irina gained valuable work experience, preparing her to be an even more effective contributor to the NJ life sciences ecosystem."
