The building blocks of a biohacking program
The tools vary by person and by goal. Cold plunges, intermittent fasting, long-distance walking, strength training, and infrared sauna all have their place - depending on the individual, their health history, and what they are trying to achieve. There is no single program that works for everyone. The value is in the personalization.
Mind work is increasingly part of serious longevity programs as well. Meditative and other practices to improve the mind, reduce toxic stress, and help avoid disease are well supported by the evidence. Toxic stress is a documented contributor to heart attack and stroke - and there are effective, structured approaches to address it. HeartMath, a biofeedback device, is one example - it trains individuals to reduce their stress response in a measurable, repeatable way.
The published evidence is clear on this point. Modifying lifestyle factors and toxic stress together can reduce the incidence of heart attack and stroke by 60 to 70%.
