A Word from the Director

Just a gentle reminder to get your ballots for the special election for the Birch Bay Library LCFA turned in soon! Ballots are due by February 8th, 2022. You can turn your ballots into the box at the North County Fire & Rescue Station at 4581 Birch Bay-Lynden Rd.

Voting is always important. Sometimes in the big national elections, our individual votes can seem small, but in small local elections like this one for the Birch Bay Library each vote matters in a big way!

Libraries are part of a town’s identity…
"Libraries offer services and products that level the intellectual playing field. That means that they allow people of any income level or background to access high-quality information, to use computers, or to borrow what they want. The existence of libraries ensures that knowledge and technology are available to everyone, not just to those who can afford their own. This is more than charity work; this helps raise the education levels of society as a whole.”
