The Birch Bay Buzz
A Weekly Publication of the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce

A Word from Sacha,

It's been a hectic summer at the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Information Center. It all started with the move of our office in May, followed by the Kite Festival in June, the post-4th beach cleanup in early July, and the record-breaking Sand Sculpture Competition/Rollback Weekend late in the month. That was immediately followed by National Night Out, and now we are preparing for the 43rd Annual Discover Days weekend August 27 & 28. This year's event will feature the return of the parade, Ducky Derby, Billy Brown Crab Derby, vendor market, Poker Run, BBBPRD2 Obstacle Course for kids, and a headlining concert from the always-popular Baby Cakes. Parade entries are currently being accepted and ducks are selling out quickly. You can visit birchbaychamber.com to participate in these activities and to see a complete schedule for the weekend.

As always, we need volunteers to make Birch Bay events happen at the high level you've come to expect. If you would like to volunteer a couple of hours of your time (or more) for Discover Days Weekend please email me at sacha@birchbaychamber.com.
If you have any information you would like to share with our Membership and community please email director@birchbaychamber.com by Monday. Newsletters will be sent every Wednesday.
