The Birch Bay Buzz
A Weekly Publication of the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce

September 9, 2022
From the Director

Fall is in the air, though it still feels a lot like summer!
A couple of things to note, typically the porta-potties along Birch Bay Drive would be removed starting next week, but due to the amount of traffic we have observed on the Berm in recent weeks, we will continue to support the units at North Cottonwood Beach, South Cottonwood Beach, Birch Bay Beach Park & Birch Bay Drive & Alderson Rd. We will see how it goes as the weather starts to change and will slowly start to remove them as needed. We will continue to support at least one unit across from the Birch Bay Beach Park through the winter season.
A big thank you to the Whatcom County LTAC committee members for their continued and recently renewed support of our need for public restroom facilities in Birch Bay. We here at the Chamber look forward to working collaboratively to come up with a sustainable, more user-friendly, and permanent solution.

Also, VOLUNTEERS! Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped us this summer, we couldn't do what we do without the help of our many very dedicated volunteers. We still need your help! This fall & winter we will need some help here at the Visitor Center on Saturdays & Sundays and we have created and will continue to update our Sign-up Genius with more of our needs. We will get this added to our website soon:

If you have any information you would like to share with our Membership and community please email director@birchbaychamber.com by Monday. Newsletters will be sent every Wednesday.
